Where We Live (Original, Signed and Framed)
Painting Size: 21cm x 14cm
Medium: Windsor and Newton Artists Watercolours
I am a big fan of Egon Schiele's townscapes. An artist more know for his, at times, controversial nudes, this side of his art isn't quite as know, but it should be because it's really lovely.
Naive art is often pigeonholed as being illustration. I disagree with this because Naive Art has been around for hundreds of years within many cultures and from Peter Doig to LS Lowry the movement has some wonderful exponents. This is a small painting with a lot of charm. It's nowhere in particular just a little section of a town, perhaps influenced a little by the Scottish landscape. We are lucky if we have a roof over our heads, and that sentiment is where the title stems from.
The cost includes exceptional quality framing, dry mounted (meaning the painting remains completely flat forever), art glass (thick UV reflective glass ensuring the painting doesn't fade), mounted and framed with the best materials. Close from Natural Oak, Limed Oak, Dark Stained Oak or White Washed Wood (my favourite!).
Of course, if you'd prefer to frame the painting yourself then the cost is reduced.
